A fabulous large Victorian Signet Ring with a double sided carved carnelian stone.
This stylish ring has a carnelian stone to the centre within a gold engraved border open to the reverse.
The oval stone is hand carved with the initials 'J B' in italic script to the front and has a seal engraved bust of William Shakespear in profile to the reverse.
The ring has beautifully engraved tapered shoulders which flow onto a wide plain shank typical of the era.
The ring is very low set to the hand and in wonderful condition. It is in 18ct gold and is hallmarked for Birmingham 1879.
