A wonderful Victorian perfume flask pendant by Samson Mordan.
An elegant silver perfume flask with a repoussé work design of a stylised swallow design to both sides acanthus leaves top and bottom. This is a technique in which the silver is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief.
The bottle hangs from a silver chain with a runner ring to the top enabling the perfume flask to be worn on a chain. It is in fabulous condition. There is a 'push' button to the front which opens the flask revealing the gilt interior of the bottle.
Era: Victorian, 1837 - 1901
Measurements: Flask is 5.5cm in length, 5.5cm at widest point.
The pendant weighs 31 grams.
