A stylish Victorian banded carnelian signet ring.
The ring is set with an oval plain banded carnelian unusually set with the white section to the top revealing a thin band of red cornelian to the underside. The stone is set in gold band and is open to the reverse.
The ring is made in 18ct gold and is fully hallmarked for 1893.
The ring has tapered shoulders decorated on a tapered shoulders with arrow motifs which flow onto a plain wide shank typical of the era. It sits low to the hand making it comfortable to wear.
Era: Victorian 1839 - 1901
Measurements: Head of ring 1.4cm in length, 1.2cm in width, it weighs 7.8 grams
