Edwardian Aquamarine and Diamond Cluster Ring c.1920
RG172
£7,750.00
A fabulous large late Edwardian aquamarine and diamond cluster ring.
This stylish ring has a central cushion cut aquamarine set within a border of small rose cut diamonds in a classic cluster design. The head of the ring is mounted in platinum with a milgrain setting.
The aquamarine is a lovely bright blue in colour and this is complemented by the border of diamonds. The ring has a 'carved' solid gold underbezel and 'split' shoulders which flow onto a plain gold shank typical of the era.
Despite being a very large gemstone, this lovely ring sits fairly low to the hand making it easy to wear. It is in wonderful condition.
Aquamarine, a member of the beryl family (along with Emerald) is a softer gemstone and as such these rings were designed for 'dress' and not for heavy everday wear.
