An unusual Edwardian amethyst and enamel bracelet.
The bracelet has 5 square cut amethyts with 3 darker and 2 lighter colours evenly spaced. The amethysts are finely mounted in gold with a milgrain edge and are open to the reverse. Each amethyst is joined by an openwork gold link with a white enamelled detail.
The bracelet is fully articulated and has a box clasp to the reverse with a figure 8 safety catch to keep it secure when worn.
This fabulous bracelet is in wonderful condition and is a very wearable example of Edwardian jewellery.
Era: Edwardian c.1901-1920
Measurements: Total amethyst weight estimated 4 carats
Bracelet 17.2 cm (6 7/8")long, 7 mm at widest section,
11.5 grams in weight.
Hallmarks: Unmarked - tests 18 carat gold
