A stylish large Art Deco pearl and diamond clasp.
The circular clasp has a pearl to the centre surrounded by a double border of well matched old cut diamonds in a classic cluster design. The (whole) pearl is pinned in a drilled mount and is protected to the reverse by a platinum bar.
The clasp has three rings for stringing two or three rows of pearls onto it and a tongue style catch which is hidden when closed. It would suit a choker design or could be strung onto two rows of larger pearls/beads if desired.
The clasp has a good strong snap being secure when used.
Era: Art Deco, 1920 - 1940

Pearl 9.2 mm diameter (assumed natural saltwater) ivory pinkish lustre.
Clasp 2.5cm (1") diameter
Clasp weighs 8.2 grams
Hallmarks: No assay marks - clasp tests as platinum
