Art Deco Jade Ring c.1930

SKU RG127
Price

£1,850.00

A stylish Art Deco Jade ring.

This beautiful ring has a carved rectangular jade panel in a typically Art Deco wide four claw mount.

The jade is carved with a fruit and flower design and is a wonderful strong green in colour.

The ring has diamond set shoulders onto a plain shank typical of the era.

Jade was a popular choice for Art Deco jewellery following Cartier's extensive use of the stone in the early 1920's.

The gemstone is revered in Chinese society where Confucius praised jade as a symbol of righteousness and knowledge. In Chinese culture Jade is customarily thought to influence health and prosperity, and ward off negative energy.
