Mid Century

The 1940's - 1960's saw jewellery designs moving into heavier designs which complemented the fashions of the time. As platinum had been requisitioned for the war effort, gold became the principal mental for jewellery design. Coloured stones in floral sprays were commonly seen in brooches earrings and bracelets.
